Pebbles Sleeping

Jesus watches over me while I sleep and keeps me safe. I am loved and so are you.

How to Be Productive & Joyful

If you had everything you needed, all of the money, resources, people, knowledge, and time, what would you do?

Close your eyes and visualize in detail what you would do, how you would do it; let ideas flow to you, anything is possible.

See this vision, feel it change your energy. Feel great right now!

Is there anything in your visualization that you could get started on today?

Keep your vision in mind as if it has already happened and take one small step toward making it a reality.

Imagine a staircase before you. It is a foggy day and you are standing at the bottom of this staircase. At the top of this staircase is the life you just visualized, your dream life. The fog becomes so dense that you can only see the step that is right in front of you.  You start to climb. As you step onto the bottom step, the next step becomes visible, but only the next step.  You continue to take one small step, knowing that you will reach the top if you keep going, even though you cannot see it.

It is the small steps you take in life that add up to big results. Start taking small steps toward your vision now.

You do not need everything now just to get started.

What are you waiting for? Why not now?

Work as if it’s play. Relax. Enjoy.

Bring the desires in your heart to life. Live.

Life Giving Love – The Journey Begins with Overflowing Enthusiasm

Give Love – Unconditionally, Devotedly, Freely, All Encompassing

Heart

Heart is… the basis of all life – without it we would die. Life requires a functional beating heart, but it also requires love – a baby cannot survive without the love of someone to take care of it; we continue to need love throughout our lives.

The love of a parent holding their little baby; time is spent just being with that little one, providing comfort and love. Hours devoted to this little one, nurturing the beginning of a lifetime. Not much else in life demands such devotion and requires such unconditional love. The importance of the time spent caring for this child cannot be measured, it is invaluable. These simple yet intensely devoted days turn into years that turn into a lifetime of the most meaningful work ever done.

We all started out as beautiful little babies, full of love, full of enthusiasm for life, ready to explore and discover, thrilled with the simplest to the most complex things. Life meant fascinating new discoveries, thrilling experiences, and the joy of just being alive. Daily simplicity coupled with awe and wonder, filled with joy and laughter.

How do we recapture this love of life, this joy, this peace?

Become enthusiastic. It is our choice to anticipate the flow of good into our lives, it is also our choice to anticipate that the worst will flow into our lives—choose wisely. Go back to basics and value such things as loving ourselves; babies love themselves completely, they delight in discovering their body, each part fascinating and wonderful. Allow your mind to flow freely and discover life’s many treasures.

Love others. Babies have no hate, no judgement, they take each moment as it comes without preconceived notions, without expectation, others are free to be who they are and to love in return.

Let go of the limiting belief that for some reason you are not good enough, not smart enough, just not enough! You are enough. You have always been enough just being you. You are valuable!

Stop living your life to please others. Live a life that is uniquely you, a life that allows you to do great things being who you are. Stop trying to impress people; stop trying to be someone that you’re not. God loves you just because you’re you, not for anything you do or do not do. His love is not based on your performance. You are loved because you are you.

Stop being persuaded by the opinions of others. Spend time in peace and allow yourself to receive your guidance from God who loves you and knows you in depth—your passions, your talents, your gifts. From this place you will become empowered, gain insight, and know what is right for you. You can have an amazing life! You are amazing.

God sees the best in you. Here is a prayer for enlightenment:

Dear God,

What you see in me, please let me see it too.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Truly Love is the Answer

Sometimes saying nothing and demonstrating love in the face of adversity is the best remedy.

Healing Meditation

Green Rose

Green represents your heart center and is associated with healing.

Imagine all of the beautiful shades of green. Breathe in deeply, visualize breathing in these beautiful shades of green; open your mouth slightly and breathe out very slowly as you allow yourself to relax deeply and completely. Feel your entire body and mind relaxing, releasing, as you breathe out slowly through your mouth.

As you breathe in the hues of green, let them cleanse and heal your mind, body, and soul. Feel the relaxation and goodness flowing through you. Allow it to cleanse and heal you. Accept this healing and be at peace.

Love flows to you, love flows through you, and love flows from you. Feel the love. You are surrounded with love and healing.

Get It Done

Just Start. Yes, it is that simple, just start! It will work out, but nothing happens if you don’t start. Taking that first action step builds momentum.

As you begin to take action you gain confidence in your ability to do the job, and you will be a little bit closer to completing your goal.

Don’t be attached to the outcome; be inspired by the possibilities.

When we are attached to the outcome, it can seem even more overwhelming if the job is a big one and will take a while to complete. It may seem like the job will never get finished, or maybe it is an ongoing task like laundry – the longer you put it off, the more there is to do.

Be inspired by possibilities: visualize how you will feel when the task is completed, feel the joy right now, be open to new possibilities and solutions.

Make simple plans each day. Decide which small step you want to take to make some progress today, no matter how small. Even very small steps accumulate over time and you will get results. Keep at it.

Lastly, be gentle and forgiving with yourself. You will not feel inspired if you beat yourself up. Life happens; we are all doing the best we can with what we have in each moment.

Keep taking those small steps and you will get things done. Enjoy and use the forward momentum to start on your next project.

Your Thoughts Create Your World

“Change your thoughts and change your world.”

– Norman Vincent Peale

Are your thoughts helping to create the life of your dreams, or are your thoughts holding you back?

Negative thoughts are like poison, they wipe out all positive thoughts and good feelings; they zap your energy and flood your body with ill health; they make you tired and depressed, assuring no progress or success.

Animated person holding head in hands.

Changing your thoughts will change your life. When you feel good about yourself, when you value yourself as the wonderful person that you are, you no longer make choices that are not good for you. Instead of zapping your energy, your thoughts empower you and increase your energy; with this increased energy and positive outlook, you allow yourself to become more creative and productive.

We must become aware of our thoughts and change the thoughts that are not serving us. Positive affirmations are empowering and help you become aware of your thoughts. This is very important because a lot of our thoughts are negative.

Thoughts affect how we feel; how we feel affects the actions we take; the actions we take help to bring us closer to where we want to be, or further away from where we want to be. Where you are today is an accumulation of all of your thoughts, feelings, and actions up until the present moment. So what kind of thoughts do you want your future to be based on – negative destructive thoughts, or empowering positive thoughts?

Instead of, “This will never work out.” try, “I am making positive changes, and everything is changing for the better.”

Instead of, “I failed again.” try, “I am getting closer to success every time I eliminate a way that doesn’t work.” or, “I am on the road to success.”

“You always pass failure on the way to success.”

– Mickey Rooney

“…If I find 10,000 ways something won’t work, I haven’t failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is often a step forward…”

– Thomas Edison

Changing your thoughts does not happen overnight. It took a long time to create your current habits and beliefs. Throughout your life you have accepted many negative messages about yourself that are not true. Be patient and loving with yourself.

Here are some resources that you may find helpful:

I Can Do It, by Louise Hay – Author and Founder of Hay House Publishing, is a short easy to use book and audio CD. Louise explains exactly what affirmations are, and how to use them correctly – including practical application for specific areas of life: health, forgiveness, prosperity, creativity, relationships/romance, job success, stress-free living, and self-esteem. You can listen to the entire book on CD as you go about your daily activities. Memorize and repeat the affirmations that you find helpful and empowering. Use these affirmations to replace any negative thoughts that come up.

“Any fact facing us is not as important as our attitude toward it, for that determines our success or failure. The way you think about a fact may defeat you before you ever do anything about it. You are overcome by the fact because you think you are.”

The Truth is…

Hawk

The truth is we usually find what we’re looking for, good or bad. We expect someone to be rude, not nice, stingy, or whatever; we will most likely see that we are right! Our ego and our subconscious mind want to make us right, looking for anything to support our beliefs—it’s human nature.

If you’re convinced that someone is rude, not nice, not very friendly, your mind will be watching for anything negative to focus on. No one is perfect, so you will have success in proving yourself right. “Oh, that person is so rude! That person is not very nice! That person is not friendly!” and so on.

Next time you see something bad in someone else, do a check in. Be honest. What thoughts, actions, energy, were you putting out to them first? You probably behaved differently to this person than you would have if you had been thinking, “This person is so wonderful!” If you expected them to let you down, be rude to you, act in a not nice way, then it may be you got exactly what you were ‘looking’ for.

Try some self-love and compassion instead of beating yourself up, this is the first step to having any healthy, positive relationship. You need to love yourself before you can truly be your best and give your best to others.

Train yourself to look for the good in everyone. You may even be the catalyst to bring out that goodness; maybe they’re just having a bad day, or maybe they’re going through a hard time. You can be a blessing to them.

BONUS: If you train yourself to look for the good in others, you will probably find that you start to focus on the good within yourself too. Maybe, just maybe, you will become less critical and more loving to yourself as well!

As we seek our ‘truth’ by suggesting something is true, we then subconsciously set out to prove it is so; we unfairly judge others and ourselves. It is important to be aware that sometimes ‘truth’ is really only perception. Changing your thoughts can change your life. Choose to look for the good in life—it is a choice.

Let Go & Let God

Hands open to sky If I let God take over and let God run my life, it will be good because God loves me and wants me to be happy. God wants the best for me. He wants the best for you too.

God knows my dreams, my desires, and my goals. God put these passions in my heart and blessed me with the gifts to be able to accomplish these things. God will lead me to the goals that are right for me. I do not need to know how it will come together because if I let God take over, if I trust God with my life, it will come together, it will work out and it will be good. Ask God for guidance and He will give it to you.

I take my dreams, my desires, my fears and any concerns that I may have to God—nothing is too big or too small. God can see the big picture clearly and will guide me in the way I should go. If I let go and let God, if I listen to what God has to say, I will find the best way to live my unique journey. Seek God’s guidance, love, and wisdom, so that you may live your best unique journey.

God created me to be who I am, He created you to be who you are. We are all special—live in this truth. Let us allow ourselves to be who we are, to be free from the pressures to be something we’re not, to stop trying to be like someone else and instead look within. Let us use our gifts to live with purpose, to value each other, to create a world in which everyone is loved, a world in which everyone is living their best journey full of love, passion, joy and enthusiasm.

See your true self. You are beautiful in your uniqueness, you are powerful in your uniqueness; the world needs you to be you.

“Let go and let God. Let Him take over your life and run it. He knows how.”
– Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

Living your best journey, finding the right direction, living a life you truly love, all begins with a personal relationship with God. It is easy to pray and speak your desires, worries, fears, and your needs, but how do you hear from God?

“Be still and know that I am God…”
– Psalm 46:10

Have some quiet time during a prayer—just listen. Be aware of the thoughts that just ‘pop’ into your head. Be open to receiving answers to your prayers. Read the bible and have quiet reflection time. Try meditation, singing, or whatever helps you to connect with that part of yourself deep within.

For a more comprehensive study about how to hear from God, read Joyce Meyer’s book, How to Hear from God: Learn to Know His Voice and Make Right Decisions.

From the Introduction:

“Learning to hear from God and be led by the Holy Spirit is very exciting. God wants to speak to us about the plan He has for our lives. His plan is a good plan, but we are in danger of missing it if we don’t learn how to listen to and obey God’s voice.”

“God speaks to us in many ways; they include but are not limited to: His Word, nature, people, circumstances, peace, wisdom, supernatural intervention, dreams, visions, and what we call the inner witness. The inner witness is best described as a “knowing” deep inside. He also speaks in what the Bible calls a still, small voice, which I believe refers to this inner witness.”

“Ask God to open your ears and sanctify them so you can be sensitive to His voice. He wants to talk to you, to develop a closer relationship with you. It is your privilege and right as a born-again believer in Jesus Christ to fellowship daily with God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, and the Holy Spirit.” – Joyce Meyers
