Are you on the path that you want to be on? If not, what if you could be? What if it could even be easy? Life is busy, complicated—hard! How can it be easy?
That’s the problem, we make life more complicated than it needs to be. Make it simple. Live and be present in each moment. You are most efficient when you focus entirely on the task at hand. Thinking about what else you have to do, worrying about other things and trying to do everything at once just leads to overwhelm.
Here are a few steps that can help you get where you want to go:
- Get clear on your goals / desires / how you want your life to be.
- Visualize and FEEL what it would be like, as if you’re already living it.
- Make a plan – what action will you take?
- Make it happen one step at a time – pick one thing and start.
- Don’t worry about knowing how everything will work out, that’s God’s job.
Make it easy: get clear, immerse yourself in visualization, plan, take action, let go of how you expect it to work out and be open to new opportunities! The decisions we make and the actions we take each day create our tomorrows.
If you need more help to make this easy, try the helpful tools that Vinita Hampton Wright shares in her book, Simple Acts of Moving Forward: 60 Suggestions for Getting Unstuck. You can choose to do all of the suggestions, or just turn to the topics that you need help with. The majority of the suggestions can be done immediately and will help you get unstuck.
From the introduction:
Getting Unstuck, Moving Forward, Feeling Better:
“Sometimes you feel that you will never get ahead or even get beyond the spot you’re in right now.”
“It won’t take longer than five minutes to read any one suggestion in this book. And in many cases, it won’t take longer than a few minutes to actually take the step.”
From the epilogue:
“I hope that practicing some of the little acts in this book will help you discover the hidden parts of you that are so amazing and so good for the world.”
“Take that step. Lean forward into your future. Enjoy the journey!”
