I know what I need to do to accomplish my goals, but I don’t always take the action I need to take. I found a solution in this quote:
“Every action needs to be prompted by a motive.”
~ Leonardo da Vinci ~
Action needs to be prompted by a motive!
What is the first thing detectives ask when looking for a suspect? Who had motive? Motive always precedes the action!
It is easy to fall into the trap of procrastination and to see yourself as lazy, not good enough, not capable enough, not smart enough, but none of these things are true and putting yourself down will never motivate you to great heights. Always look for the best in yourself and others—you will find it!
So instead of beating myself up, feeling like my goals were out of reach or I was not equipped to accomplish them, I chose to be loving and compassionate with myself and realize that it was not laziness, but lack of motive that had been keeping me from taking action.
The truth is simple—with the right motive, you will be inspired to take action. With the right motive you will take action. By taking action, you can create the life you desire. You are smart enough. You are capable. You are amazing!
